On your device — the app works completely without an account and without internet. Pro adds two optional routes: automatic backup puts encrypted backups into your own iCloud or your own Google Drive, entirely without an account with us. Device sync keeps several devices on the same state; that uses a free account, and the end-to-end encrypted data sits on our servers in Frankfurt am Main (hosted at Supabase, EU region). Either way, only you hold the key.

Under More → Export & backup you create an encrypted backup file. With Pro it happens automatically: daily into your own iCloud or Google Drive, photos and documents included — no account with us needed.

Then the backup cannot be opened any more — not by us either. That is not a convenience gap, it is the whole point: we could only make your data readable if we had the key. Put the password into your password manager.

With Pro via device sync: create a free account, sign in, done — every device shows the same inventory, end-to-end encrypted through our servers in Frankfurt am Main. Without Pro via the backup file: create it on the old device, import it on the new one.

Only what you select: manufacturer, model, calibre, gun type and, if you like, photos and details such as year of manufacture or barrel length. Serial numbers, storage locations, stock levels, prices and permit data are technically excluded — they are not even part of the transmitted data. Via Generate new ID all previous links become invalid.

No. The activity overview, quotas, deadlines and storage classes are guidance without guarantee. What counts is the law, your permits and what your authority tells you; for proof of shooting activity, your association’s certificate.

On iPhone and iPad, and in the browser at web.waffenschrank.app — no installation needed there. The Android version is in the works; the app was built for both platforms from the start.

Through the App Store or Google Play, like any other subscription. A one-off permanent purchase is unaffected. Data you have already entered stays readable and exportable, with or without Pro.

More → Cloud backup → Delete account. That removes account, backups and showcases from our servers. The data on your device stays until you delete the app.
