The web app keeps your data in this browser – and the browser can delete it when space runs low or after long disuse. So back it up regularly; device sync and automatic backup are only in the app.

From your permits to your ammo stock: Waffenschrank keeps your collection, your paperwork and your range days together — neatly ordered, searchable and always at hand. The essentials are free; whatever needs Pro carries the “Pro” label.
Every gun with caliber, serial number, license details and photo. Where your jurisdiction sets a reporting deadline, it runs along visibly and the app reminds you before it lapses — permits, acquisitions, memberships and maintenance in a single deadline list.
Your own record of every range day: date, range, discipline, gun and rounds used. The annual overview shows how often you shot and how many rounds it took, and round counts per gun feed your cleaning intervals.
Scan the box, book the stock, done. Log a range day and the app deducts the rounds used by itself — you always see what is left in the safe.
Deadlines, license types and storage rules come from legal catalogs for twelve countries: the United States, Canada, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Poland, the Czech Republic, Italy, France, Finland, Estonia and Lithuania. Every rule with its source and date — where a jurisdiction sets no rule, the app does not invent one.
iPhone, iPad, Android and browser show the same inventory: device sync runs through a free account and is end-to-end encrypted. Without an account, you move to a new device with an encrypted backup file.

In the United States, no: no federal rule asks a private shooter for one, and any requirements in this area are state, local or club rules. In Canada the duty sits on the club: an approved shooting club must, at the chief firearms officer’s request, supply a written description of the participation of a current or past member or officer of the club, or of a guest of theirs, in target practice or target shooting competitions within the previous five years, when that person’s licence for restricted firearms is up for renewal. No federal rule requires the shooter to keep a log of their own (SOR/98-212 s. 15(1)). Your own log is the backup for a record somebody else has to produce about you. The training log in Waffenschrank is your personal documentation: range days, disciplines, ammo used, analyses and round counts per gun. It is maintenance and memory, not compliance.
Waffenschrank helps you keep your details complete and traceable, and turns them into orderly PDF summaries — to prepare an appointment or complete your paperwork, for example. What counts, now as before, are the official records: your licenses and permits, the registration paperwork you hold, and whatever your own jurisdiction asks for. The app replaces neither those documents nor legal advice; what binds you is always what your authority requires.
First of all on your device — the app works without internet and without an account. Backup to your own iCloud or, on Android, your Google Drive (free, manual or automatic) encrypts your data on the device (AES-256-GCM) — no account with us needed. It is stored on our servers (hosted at Supabase, EU region in Frankfurt, Germany) only if you sync several devices through a free account or use the account backup with Pro — encrypted then too, and only you hold the key. In plain text we only see your email address and the envelope (size, timing, device) — and what you put into a showcase, onto a club page or into a message to us yourself.
The most important features are free. Waffenschrank Pro costs $59.99 once (no subscription, Family Sharing (App Store) included; available only until 12/31/2026), $19.99 a year or $2.99 a month — the price your store (App Store or Google Play) shows for your country is the one that counts, and tax is handled there. Purchase and management run through the App Store or Google Play. The one-time purchase applies without a time limit, for as long as we offer Waffenschrank; the details are in the terms of use. No ads, no trade in your data.
Yes. Waffenschrank is available for Android on Google Play. With a free account, your inventory syncs end-to-end encrypted between Android, iPhone and the browser.
You pick exactly the pieces you want to show and publish them as a profile at an address nobody can guess — to pass on as a link or QR code. Serial numbers, storage locations, stock levels, prices and permit data are technically excluded, and photos are re-encoded so their location and other image data are dropped. What your photos show is not checked — a serial number visible in a picture stays readable. Take the showcase offline and the old link is dead for good.
