Does the log replace the shooting record at my club?
No. You keep the shooting record at your club, signed off or stamped by the range officer — no app can do that. Where your country asks for proof of shooting activity, that record and your association’s certificate are what count. The range log in Waffenschrank is your personal documentation: range days, disciplines, ammo used, analyses and an overview of how your training frequency is doing over the year. It helps you plan and keep track — what counts formally remains the signed record and your association’s certificate.
Can I keep my records for the authorities with it?
Waffenschrank helps you keep your details complete and traceable, and turns them into orderly PDF summaries — to prepare an appointment or complete your paperwork, for example. What counts are and remain the official records: your permits, the shooting record signed off at the club and your association’s certificate. The app replaces neither those documents nor legal advice; binding is always what your authority requires.
Where is my data?
First of all only on your device — the app runs entirely without internet and without an account. If you opt for automatic backup, your data is encrypted on the device (AES-256-GCM) and lands in your own cloud storage: iCloud on iPhone and iPad, Google Drive on Android — no account with us needed. Only for syncing several devices through a free account is it additionally stored on our servers in Frankfurt am Main (hosted at Supabase, EU region eu-central-1). Either way, only you hold the key; we never get to see the content.
What does Waffenschrank cost?
The most important functions are free. Waffenschrank Pro costs €99.99 once (for good, Family Sharing included), €34.99 a year or €4.99 a month — VAT included, and the price in your App Store may vary by region. Purchase and management run through the App Store or Google Play. No hidden costs, no ads, no trade in your data.
Is there an Android version too?
Yes, an Android version is in the works — the app was built for both platforms from the start. Until then you can use the web app in your browser. Drop us a line and we will let you know as soon as it goes live on the Play Store.
How do I share my showcase?
You pick exactly the pieces you want to show and publish them as a profile at an address nobody can guess — to pass on as a link or QR code. Serial numbers, storage locations, stock levels, prices and permit data are technically excluded. Take the showcase offline and the old link is dead for good.
