Terms of use for showcases

These terms apply to everything you show publicly with Waffenschrank: showcases and published club pages, available at waffenschrank.app/p/…. The provider is tap & type UG (haftungsbeschränkt), see Legal notice. They describe which content is not allowed there and how we deal with it (Art. 14 of Regulation (EU) 2022/2065, Digital Services Act – DSA).

What becomes public

You choose what a showcase shows: its name, selected guns, ammunition and accessories with manufacturer, model, calibre and downsized photos, plus competition results. A club page shows the club name and the members’ approved results, without their names. Serial numbers, storage locations, stock levels, prices and permit data are technically excluded: the app only lets a fixed list of fields out.

What is not allowed

Content that breaks the law – for example symbols of unconstitutional or terrorist organizations, glorification of violence, incitement to hatred, insults or threats.
Offers to buy, sell, swap or broker guns, ammunition or essential parts. A showcase is not a marketplace.
Photos and texts you hold no rights to.
Names, images or other details about other people without their consent.
Details that reveal where guns are stored – for example an address or photos in which the storage location can be recognized.

How we moderate

We do not review showcases in advance and use no automatic content detection. The only automatic restriction is the fixed list of fields above. We act when content is reported to us or we learn of it in another way; a human reviews every report.

If content breaks these terms or the law, we take the showcase or club page concerned offline; its link then becomes permanently invalid. We decide carefully, objectively and proportionately and take the rights of everyone involved into account, including freedom of expression. If we know an electronic contact address of yours, we tell you the decision and the reasons for it (Art. 17 DSA).

If content points to a criminal offence that threatens people’s life or safety, we inform the law enforcement authorities (Art. 18 DSA).

Reporting content

Below every showcase there is “Report page”. The link opens an email to kontakt@waffenschrank.app with a template; you can also write without it. So that we can process a report, it should contain (Art. 16(2) DSA):

an explanation of why you consider the content illegal,
the exact address (URL) of the showcase,
your name and email address – except for reports concerning sexual abuse or sexual exploitation of children,
a statement that you believe in good faith that the information in your report is accurate and complete.

We confirm receipt and tell you our decision. You can use the same route to report content that is not illegal but breaks these terms.

If you disagree with a decision

Reply to our message. We will then review the decision again.
You can complain to the Digital Services Coordinator of the member state where you are located or established (Art. 53 DSA). In Germany this is the Digital Services Coordinator at the Bundesnetzagentur.
The courts remain open to you.

We do not take part in out-of-court dispute settlement under Art. 21 DSA.

Your responsibility

You are responsible for the content of your showcase. You can take any showcase offline at any time. A showcase is deleted automatically twelve months after it was last refreshed; its address is never reassigned afterwards.

Changes

If these terms change materially, this page says so with a date, and so do the release notes of the next app version.
